Preparation and Execution of Connection Applications

All eligible connection applications need to be prepared and submitted to Unitywater by a Registered Certifier.

As a Registered Certifier, we help make the approvals process easier by preparing, assessing, and submitting your applications for Unitywater's approval.

Unitywater only accept connection applications prepared by a Registered Certifier.

Registered Certifier

As a registered certifier we have been fully trained by Unitywater to assess developers’ applications to connect to Unitywater’s network.

We are responsible to certify that engineering designs and constructed assets are compliant with the relevant connection approvals and the prescribed standards.

Unitywater are still responsible for issuing the final Decision Notice, but we help with:

  • Assessing developers’ connection applications

  • Preparing Certification Packages, including drafting Decision Notices and Infrastructure Charges Notices for Unitywater’s approval

  • Inspecting works and certifying that the as-constructed condition of the assets meets prescribed standards

  • Preparing requests for Provisional Certificates of Completion and Certificates of Completion

  • Monitoring compliance with conditions of Infrastructure Agreements and Water Connection Approval Agreements and identifying any non-compliance.

Depending on the size, type, and complexity of your development project you will need to choose the right certifier. Based on requirement, we wil assign the appropriate certifier:

  • Minor Connection Certifier

  • Major Connection Certifier

  • Construction Certifier
